False official statements; false swearing\n(a)\nFalse Official Statements.\u2014\nAny person subject to this chapter who, with intent to deceive\u2014\n(1) signs any false record, return, regulation, order, or other official document, knowing it to be false; or\n(2) makes any other false official statement knowing it to be false;\nshall be punished as a court-martial may direct.\n(b)\nFalse Swearing.\u2014\nAny person subject to this chapter\u2014\n(1) who takes an oath that\u2014\n(A) is administered in a matter in which such oath is required or authorized by law; and\n(B) is administered by a person with authority to do so; and\n(2) who, upon such oath, makes or subscribes to a statement;\nif the statement is false and at the time of taking the oath, the person does not believe the statement to be true, shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.","url":"https://projectusc.org/usc/t10/s907.html","content":[{"t":"sec","id":"/us/usc/t10/s907","children":[{"t":"num","text":"\u00a7\u202f907."},{"t":"heading","text":"Art. 107.
