Domestic violence\n(a)\nIn General.\u2014\nAny person who\u2014\n(1) commits a violent offense against a spouse, an intimate partner, a dating partner, or an immediate family member of that person;\n(2) with intent to threaten or intimidate a spouse, an intimate partner, a dating partner, or an immediate family member of that person\u2014\n(A) commits an offense under this chapter against any person; or\n(B) commits an offense under this chapter against any property, including an animal;\n(3) with intent to threaten or intimidate a spouse, an intimate partner, a dating partner, or an immediate family member of that person, violates a protection order;\n(4) with intent to commit a violent offense against a spouse, an intimate partner, a dating partner, or an immediate family member of that person, violates a protection order; or\n(5) assaults a spouse, an intimate partner, a dating partner, or an immediate family member of that person by strangling or suffocating;\nshall be punished as a court-martial may direct.\n(b)\nDefinitions.\u2014\nIn this section, the terms \u201cdating partner\u201d, \u201cimmediate family\u201d, and \u201cintimate partner\u201d have the meanings given such terms in\nsection 930 of this title","url":"https://projectusc.org/usc/t10/s928b.html","content":[{"t":"sec","id":"/us/usc/t10/s928b","children":[{"t":"num","text":"\u00a7\u202f928b."},{"t":"heading","text":"Art. 128b.
