{"identifier":"/us/usc/t15/s657p","title":15,"num":"\u00a7\u202f657p.","heading":"Outreach regarding health insurance options available to children","text":"\u00a7\u202f657p.\nOutreach regarding health insurance options available to children\n(a)\nDefinitions\nIn this section\u2014\n(1) the terms \u201cAdministration\u201d and \u201cAdministrator\u201d means the Small Business Administration and the Administrator thereof, respectively;\n(2) the term \u201ccertified development company\u201d means a development company participating in the program under title V of the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 (\n15 U.S.C. 695\n(3) the term \u201cMedicaid program\u201d means the program established under title XIX of the Social Security Act (\n42 U.S.C. 1396\n(4) the term \u201cService Corps of Retired Executives\u201d means the Service Corps of Retired Executives authorized by\nsection 637(b)(1) of this title\n(5) the term \u201csmall business concern\u201d has the meaning given that term in\nsection 632 of this title\n(6) the term \u201csmall business development center\u201d means a small business development center described in\nsection 648 of this title\n(7) the term \u201cState\u201d has the meaning given that term for purposes of title XXI of the Social Security Act (\n42 U.S.C. 1397aa\n(8) the term \u201cState Children\u2019s Health Insurance Program\u201d means the State Children\u2019s Health Insurance Program established under title XXI of the Social Security Act (\n42 U.S.C. 1397aa\n(9) the term \u201ctask force\u201d means the task force established under subsection (b)(1); and\n(10) the term \u201cwomen\u2019s business center\u201d means a women\u2019s business center described in\nsection 656 of this title\n(b)\nEstablishment of task force\n(1)\nEstablishment\nThere is established a task force to conduct a nationwide campaign of education and outreach for small business concerns regarding the availability of coverage for children through private insurance options, the Medicaid program, and the State Children\u2019s Health Insurance Program.\n(2)\nMembership\nThe task force shall consist of the Administrator, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Secretary of Labor, and the Secretary of the Treasury.\n(3)\nResponsibilities\nThe campaign conducted under this subsection shall include\u2014\n(A) efforts to educate the owners of small business concerns about the value of health coverage for children;\n(B) information regarding options available to the owners and employees of small business concerns to make insurance more affordable, including Federal and State tax deductions and credits for health care-related expenses and health insurance expenses and Federal tax exclusion for health insurance options available under employer-sponsored cafeteria plans under\nsection 125 of title 26\n(C) efforts to educate the owners of small business concerns about assistance available through public programs; and\n(D) efforts to educate the owners and employees of small business concerns regarding the availability of the hotline operated as part of the Insure Kids Now program of the Department of Health and Human Services.\n(4)\nImplementation\nIn carrying out this subsection, the task force may\u2014\n(A) use any business partner of the Administration, including\u2014\n(i) a small business development center;\n(ii) a certified development company;\n(iii) a women\u2019s business center; and\n(iv) the Service Corps of Retired Executives;\n(B) enter into\u2014\n(i) a memorandum of understanding with a chamber of commerce; and\n(ii) a partnership with any appropriate small business concern or health advocacy group;
