{"identifier":"/us/usc/t15/s9041","title":15,"num":"\u00a7\u202f9041.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f9041.\nDefinitions\nIn this part:\n(1)\nAir carrier\nThe term \u201cair carrier\u201d has the meaning such term has under\nsection 40102 of title 49\n(2)\nCoronavirus\nThe term \u201ccoronavirus\u201d means SARS\u2013CoV\u20132 or another coronavirus with pandemic potential.\n(3)\nCovered loss\nThe term \u201ccovered loss\u201d includes losses incurred directly or indirectly as a result of coronavirus, as determined by the Secretary.\n(4)\nEligible business\nThe term \u201celigible business\u201d means\u2014\n(A) an air carrier; or\n(B) a United States business that has not otherwise received adequate economic relief in the form of loans or loan guarantees provided under this Act.\n(5)\nEmployee\nExcept where the context otherwise requires, the term \u201cemployee\u201d\u2014\n(A) has the meaning given the term in\nsection 152 of title 29\n(B) includes any individual employed by an employer subject to the Railway Labor Act (\n45 U.S.C. 151\n(6)\nEquity security; exchange\nThe terms \u201cequity security\u201d and \u201cexchange\u201d have the meanings given the terms in\nsection 78c(a) of this title\n(7)\nMunicipality\nThe term \u201cmunicipality\u201d includes\u2014\n(A) a political subdivision of a State, and\n(B) an instrumentality of a municipality, a State, or a political subdivision of a State.\n(8)\nNational securities exchange\nThe term \u201cnational securities exchange\u201d means an exchange registered as a national securities exchange under\nsection 78f of this title\n(9)\nSecretary\nThe term \u201cSecretary\u201d means the Secretary of the Treasury, or the designee of the Secretary of the Treasury.\n(10)\nState\nThe term \u201cState\u201d means\u2014\n(A) any of the several States;\n(B) the District of Columbia;\n(C) any of the territories and possessions of the United States;\n(D) any bi-State or multi-State entity; and\n(E) any Indian Tribe.\n(11)\nAerospace-related businesses critical to maintaining national security\nThe term \u201cbusinesses critical to maintaining national security\u201d means those businesses that manufacture or produce aerospace-related products, civil or defense, including those that design, integrate, assemble, supply, maintain, and repair such products, and other businesses involved in aerospace-related manufacturing or production as further defined by the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of Transportation.
