{"identifier":"/us/usc/t16/s5002","title":16,"num":"\u00a7\u202f5002.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f5002.\nDefinitions\nAs used in this chapter, the term\u2014\n(1) \u201cAnadromous stocks\u201d means stocks of species listed in the Annex to the Convention that migrate into the Convention area.\n(2) \u201cAnadromous fish\u201d means fish of the species listed in the Annex to the Convention that migrate into the Convention area.\n(3) \u201cAuthorized officer\u201d means a law enforcement official authorized to enforce this chapter under\nsection 5008(a) of this title\n(4) \u201cCommission\u201d means the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission provided for by article VIII of the Convention.\n(5) \u201cConvention\u201d means the Convention for the Conservation of Anadromous Stocks of the North Pacific Ocean, signed in Moscow,\nFebruary 11, 1992\n(6) \u201cConvention area\u201d means the waters of the North Pacific Ocean and its adjacent seas, north of 33 degrees North Latitude,\n1\n1 So in original.
