{"identifier":"/us/usc/t2/s2167","title":2,"num":"\u00a7\u202f2167.","heading":"Congressional Award Youth Park","text":"\u00a7\u202f2167.\nCongressional Award Youth Park\n(a)\nDesignation\nThe parcel of approximately 5 acres of land located on the Capitol Grounds and described in subsection (b) shall be known and designated as the \u201cCongressional Award Youth Park\u201d.\n(b)\nArea included\n(1)\nIn general\nThe parcel of land described in subsection (a) is\u2014\n(A) bounded on the north by Constitution Avenue, N.W.;\n(B) bounded on the east by First Street, N.W.;\n(C) bounded on the south by Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.; and\n(D) bounded on the west by Third Street N.W.\n(2)\nExtension\nThe park shall extend to the curbs of the streets described in paragraph (1).\n(c)\nDesign\n(1)\nCompetition\nThe Architect of the Capitol shall sponsor a competition for the design of the park, based on specifications developed by the Architect.\n(2)\nSpecifications\n(A)\nIn general\nNot later than\nJune 30, 2002\n(B)\nRequirements\n(i)\nIn general\nThe specifications shall require an outdoor design that is accessible to the public.\n(ii)\nInclusions\nTo the maximum extent practicable, the specifications shall include requirements for\u2014\n(I) a fountain;\n(II) extensive use of trees and flowering plants from each of the 50 States;\n(III) large-scale replicas of the medals awarded under the Congressional Award Program;
