{"identifier":"/us/usc/t21/s889","title":21,"num":"\u00a7\u202f889.","heading":"Production control of controlled substances","text":"\u00a7\u202f889.\nProduction control of controlled substances\n(a)\nDefinitions\nAs used in this section:\n(1) The term \u201ccontrolled substance\u201d has the same meaning given such term in\nsection 802(6) of this title\n(2) The term \u201cSecretary\u201d means the Secretary of Agriculture.\n(3) The term \u201cState\u201d means each of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands of the United States, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, or the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.\n(b)\nPersons ineligible for Federal agricultural program benefits\nNotwithstanding any other provision of law, following\n(1) as to any commodity produced during that crop year, and the four succeeding crop years, by such person\u2014\n(A) any price support or payment made available under the Agricultural Act of 1949 (\n7 U.S.C. 1421\n15 U.S.C. 714\n(B) a farm storage facility loan made under section 4(h) of the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act (\n15 U.S.C. 714b(h)\n(C) crop insurance under the Federal Crop Insurance Act (\n7 U.S.C. 1501\n(D) a disaster payment made under the Agricultural Act of 1949 (\n7 U.S.C. 1421\n(E) a loan made, insured or guaranteed under the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (\n7 U.S.C. 1921\n(2) a payment made under section 4 or 5 of the Commodity Credit Corporation Charter Act (\n(A) produced during that crop year, or any of the four succeeding crop years, by such person; and\n(B) acquired by the Commodity Credit Corporation.\n(c)\nRegulations\nNot later than 180 days after\n(1) define the term \u201cperson\u201d;\n(2) govern the determination of persons who shall be ineligible for program benefits under this section;
