{"identifier":"/us/usc/t22/s10001","title":22,"num":"\u00a7\u202f10001.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f10001.\nDefinitions\nExcept as otherwise provided, in this chapter:\n(1)\nAppropriate congressional committees\nThe term \u201cappropriate congressional committees\u201d means\u2014\n(A) the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate;\n(B) the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate;\n(C) the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives; and\n(D) the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives.\n(2)\nInternational financial institutions\nThe term \u201cinternational financial institutions\u201d means\u2014\n(A) the International Monetary Fund;\n(B) the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development;\n(C) the International Development Association;\n(D) the International Finance Corporation;\n(E) the Inter-American Development Bank;\n(F) the Asian Development Bank;\n(G) the Inter-American Investment Corporation;\n(H) the African Development Bank;\n(I) the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;\n(J) the Multilateral Investment Guaranty Agency; and\n(K) any multilateral financial institution, established after\nJanuary 1, 2021\n(3)\nSovereignty Council\nThe term \u201cSovereignty Council\u201d means the governing body of Sudan during the transitional period that consists of\u2014\n(A) 5 civilians selected by the Forces of Freedom and Change;\n(B) 5 members selected by the Transitional Military Council; and\n(C) 1 member selected by agreement between the Forces of Freedom and Change and the Transitional Military Council.\n(4)\nSudanese security and intelligence services\nThe term \u201cSudanese security and intelligence services\u201d means\u2014\n(A) the Sudan Armed Forces;\n(B) the Rapid Support Forces,\n1\n1 So in original.
