{"identifier":"/us/usc/t22/s1621","title":22,"num":"\u00a7\u202f1621.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f1621.\nDefinitions\nFor the purposes of this subchapter\u2014\n(a) The term \u201cperson\u201d shall include an individual, partnership, corporation, or the Government of the United States.\n(b) The term \u201cUnited States\u201d when used in a geographical sense shall include the United States, its Territories and insular possessions, and the Canal Zone.\n(c) The term \u201cnationals of the United States\u201d includes (1) persons who are citizens of the United States, and (2) persons who, though not citizens of the United States, owe permanent allegiance to the United States.
