{"identifier":"/us/usc/t22/s4866","title":22,"num":"\u00a7\u202f4866.","heading":"Security training for personnel assigned to a high risk, high threat post","text":"\u00a7\u202f4866.\nSecurity training for personnel assigned to a high risk, high threat post\n(a)\nIn general\nIndividuals assigned permanently to or who are in long-term temporary duty status as designated by the Secretary of State at a high risk, high threat post shall receive security training described in subsection (b) on a mandatory basis in order to prepare such individuals for living and working at such posts.\n(b)\nSecurity training described\nSecurity training referred to in subsection (a)\u2014\n(1) is training to improve basic knowledge and skills; and\n(2) may include\u2014\n(A) an ability to recognize, avoid, and respond to potential terrorist situations, including a complex attack;\n(B) conducting surveillance detection;\n(C) providing emergency medical care;\n(D) ability to detect the presence of improvised explosive devices;\n(E) minimal firearms familiarization;
