{"identifier":"/us/usc/t22/s8514c","title":22,"num":"\u00a7\u202f8514c.","heading":"Imposition of sanctions with respect to persons engaged in the diversion of goods intended for the people of Iran","text":"\u00a7\u202f8514c.\nImposition of sanctions with respect to persons engaged in the diversion of goods intended for the people of Iran\n(a)\nImposition of sanctions\n(1)\nIn general\nThe President shall impose sanctions described in\nsection 8514(c) of this title\n(2)\nException\nThe requirement to impose sanctions under paragraph (1) shall not include the authority to impose sanctions on the importation of goods.\n(b)\nList of persons who engage in diversion\n(1)\nIn general\nAs relevant information becomes available, the President shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a list of persons that the President determines have, on or after\n(A) the diversion of goods, including agricultural commodities, food, medicine, and medical devices, intended for the people of Iran;
