{"identifier":"/us/usc/t25/s4224","title":25,"num":"\u00a7\u202f4224.","heading":"Review of plans","text":"\u00a7\u202f4224.\nReview of plans\n(a)\nReview and notice\n(1)\nReview\n(A)\nIn general\nThe Secretary shall conduct a review of a housing plan submitted to the Secretary under\nsection 4223 of this title\n(B)\nLimitation\nThe Secretary shall have the discretion to review a plan referred to in subparagraph (A) only to the extent that the Secretary considers that the review is necessary.\n(2)\nNotice\n(A)\nIn general\nNot later than 60 days after receiving a plan under\nsection 4223 of this title\n(B)\nEffect of failure of Secretary to take action\nFor purposes of this subchapter, if the Secretary does not notify the Director, as required under this subsection and subsection (b), upon the expiration of the 60-day period described in subparagraph (A)\u2014\n(i) the plan shall be considered to have been determined to comply with the requirements under\nsection 4223 of this title\n(ii) the Director shall be considered to have been notified of compliance.\n(b)\nNotice of reasons for determination of noncompliance\nIf the Secretary determines that a plan submitted under\n(1) the reasons for noncompliance; and\n(2) any modifications necessary for the plan to meet the requirements of\nsection 4223 of this title\n(c)\nReview\n(1)\nIn general\nAfter the Director of the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands submits a housing plan under\n(A) set forth the information required by\nsection 4223 of this title\n(B) are consistent with information and data available to the Secretary; and\n(C) are not prohibited by or inconsistent with any provision of this chapter or any other applicable law.\n(2)\nIncomplete plans\nIf the Secretary determines under this subsection that any of the appropriate certifications required under\nsection 4223(c)(2)(E) of this title\n(d)\nUpdates to plan\n(1)\nIn general\nSubject to paragraph (2), after a plan under\nsection 4223 of this title\nsection 4223(b) of this title\nsection 4223(c) of this title\n(2)\nComplete plans\nThe Director shall submit a complete plan under\nsection 4223 of this title\n(e)\nEffective date\nThis section and\nsection 4223 of this title\n1\n1 So in original.
