{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/s21901","title":34,"num":"\u00a7\u202f21901.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f21901.\nDefinitions\nIn this chapter:\n(1)\nAMBER Alert communications network\nThe term \u201cAMBER Alert communications network\u201d means the AMBER Alert communications network established under subtitle A of title III of the PROTECT Act (\n34 U.S.C. 20501\n(2)\nAshanti Alert\nThe term \u201cAshanti Alert\u201d means an alert issued through the Ashanti Alert communications network, related to a missing adult.\n(3)\nAshanti Alert communications network\nThe term \u201cAshanti Alert communications network\u201d means the national communications network established by the Attorney General under\nsection 21902(a) of this title\n(4)\nAshanti Alert Coordinator of the Department of Justice; Coordinator\nThe term \u201cAshanti Alert Coordinator of the Department of Justice\u201d or \u201cCoordinator\u201d means the employee designated by the Attorney General to act as the national coordinator of the Ashanti Alert communications network under\nsection 21903(a) of this title\n(5)\nAshanti Alert plan\nThe term \u201cAshanti Alert plan\u201d means a local element of the Ashanti Alert communications network.\n(6)\nIndian Tribe\nThe term \u201cIndian Tribe\u201d means a federally recognized Indian Tribe or a Native village, Regional Corporation, or Village Corporation (as those terms are defined in\nsection 1602 of title 43\n(7)\nMissing adult\nThe term \u201cmissing adult\u201d means an individual who\u2014\n(A) is older than the age for which an alert may be issued through the AMBER Alert communications network in the State or territory of an Indian Tribe in which the individual is identified as a missing individual;\n(B) is identified by a law enforcement agency as a missing individual;
