{"identifier":"/us/usc/t34/s30109","title":34,"num":"\u00a7\u202f30109.","heading":"National strategy, classification, and reporting on cybercrime","text":"\u00a7\u202f30109.\nNational strategy, classification, and reporting on cybercrime\n(a)\nDefinitions\nIn this section:\n(1)\nComputer\nThe term \u201ccomputer\u201d includes a computer network and any interactive electronic device.\n(2)\nCybercrime against individuals\nThe term \u201ccybercrime against individuals\u201d has the meaning given the term in\nsection 30107 of this title\n(b)\nNational strategy\nThe Attorney General shall develop a national strategy to\u2014\n(1) reduce the incidence of cybercrimes against individuals;\n(2) coordinate investigations of cybercrimes against individuals by Federal law enforcement agencies;\n(3) increase the number of Federal prosecutions of cybercrimes against individuals; and\n(4) develop an evaluation process that measures rates of cybercrime victimization and prosecutorial rates among Tribal and culturally specific communities.\n(c)\nClassification of cybercrimes against individuals for purposes of crime reports\nIn accordance with the authority of the Attorney General under\n(1) design and create within the Uniform Crime Reports a category for offenses that constitute cybercrimes against individuals;\n(2) to the extent feasible, within the category established under paragraph (1), establish subcategories for each type of cybercrime against individuals that is an offense under Federal or State law;\n(3) classify the category established under paragraph (1) as a Part I crime in the Uniform Crime Reports;
