{"identifier":"/us/usc/t38/s1785","title":38,"num":"\u00a7\u202f1785.","heading":"Care and services during certain disasters and emergencies","text":"\u00a7\u202f1785.\nCare and services during certain disasters and emergencies\n(a)\nAuthority To Provide Hospital Care and Medical Services.\u2014\nDuring and immediately following a disaster or emergency referred to in subsection (b), the Secretary may furnish hospital care and medical services to individuals responding to, involved in, or otherwise affected by that disaster or emergency.\n(b)\nCovered Disasters and Emergencies.\u2014\nA disaster or emergency referred to in this subsection is any disaster or emergency as follows:\n(1) A major disaster or emergency declared by the President under the Robert T.
