{"identifier":"/us/usc/t38/s3698A","title":38,"num":"\u00a7\u202f3698A.","heading":"Provision of certificates of eligibility and award letters using electronic means","text":"\u00a7\u202f3698A.\nProvision of certificates of eligibility and award letters using electronic means\n(a)\nRequirement.\u2014\nExcept as provided by subsection (b), the Secretary shall provide to an individual the following documents using electronic means:\n(1) A certificate of eligibility for the entitlement of the individual to covered educational assistance.\n(2) An award letter regarding the authorization of the individual to receive covered educational assistance.\n(b)\nElection to Opt Out.\u2014\nAn individual may elect to receive the documents specified in subsection (a) by mail rather than through electronic means under subsection (a).
