{"identifier":"/us/usc/t41/s8101","title":41,"num":"\u00a7\u202f8101.","heading":"Definitions and construction","text":"\u00a7\u202f8101.\nDefinitions and construction\n(a)\nDefinitions.\u2014\nIn this chapter:\n(1)\nContractor.\u2014\nThe term \u201ccontractor\u201d means the department, division, or other unit of a person responsible for the performance under the contract.\n(2)\nControlled substance.\u2014\nThe term \u201ccontrolled substance\u201d means a controlled substance in schedules I through V of section 202 of the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act of 1970 (\n21 U.S.C. 812\n(3)\nConviction.\u2014\nThe term \u201cconviction\u201d means a finding of guilt (including a plea of nolo contendere), an imposition of sentence, or both, by a judicial body charged with the responsibility to determine violations of Federal or State criminal drug statutes.\n(4)\nCriminal drug statute.\u2014\nThe term \u201ccriminal drug statute\u201d means a criminal statute involving manufacture, distribution, dispensation, use, or possession of a controlled substance.\n(5)\nDrug-free workplace.\u2014\nThe term \u201cdrug-free workplace\u201d means a site of an entity\u2014\n(A) for the performance of work done in connection with a specific contract or grant described in section 8102 or 8103 of this title;
