{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s10403","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f10403.","heading":"Authorization of appropriations","text":"\u00a7\u202f10403.\nAuthorization of appropriations\n(a)\nFormula grants to States\n(1)\nIn general\nThere is authorized to be appropriated to carry out sections 10401 through 10412 of this title, $175,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2011 through 2015.\n(2)\nAllocations\n(A)\nFormula grants to States\n(i)\nReservation of funds\nFor any fiscal year for which the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) exceed $130,000,000, not less than 25 percent of such excess funds shall be made available to carry out\nsection 10412 of this title\n(ii)\nFormula grants\nOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under clause (i), not less than 70 percent shall be used for making grants under\nsection 10406(a) of this title\n(B)\nGrants to tribes\nOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 10 percent shall be used to carry out\nsection 10409 of this title\n(C)\nTechnical assistance and training centers\nOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 6 percent shall be used by the Secretary for making grants under\nsection 10410 of this title\n(D)\nGrants for State Domestic Violence Coalitions\nOf the amounts appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not less than 10 percent of such amounts shall be used by the Secretary for making grants under\nsection 10411 of this title\n(E)\nAdministration, evaluation and monitoring\nOf the amount appropriated under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year and not reserved under subparagraph (A)(i), not more than 2.5 percent shall be used by the Secretary for evaluation, monitoring, and other administrative costs under this chapter.\n(b)\nNational domestic violence hotline\nThere is authorized to be appropriated to carry out\nsection 10413 of this title\n(c)\nDomestic Violence Prevention Enhancement and Leadership Through Alliances\nThere is authorized to be appropriated to carry out\nsection 10414 of this title\n(d)\nAdditional funding\nFor the purposes of carrying out this chapter, in addition to amounts otherwise made available for such purposes, there are appropriated, out of any amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for fiscal year 2021, to remain available until expended except as otherwise provided in this subsection, each of the following:\n(1) $180,000,000 to carry out sections 10401 through 10412 of this title, to be allocated in the manner described in subsection (a)(2), except that\u2014\n(A) a reference in subsection (a)(2) to an amount appropriated under subsection (a)(1) shall be considered to be a reference to an amount appropriated under this paragraph;\n(B) the matching requirement in\nsection 10406(c)(4) of this title\n1\n1 So in original.
