{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s11049","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f11049.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f11049.\nDefinitions\nFor purposes of this chapter\u2014\n(1)\nAdministrator\nThe term \u201cAdministrator\u201d means the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency.\n(2)\nEnvironment\nThe term \u201cenvironment\u201d includes water, air, and land and the interrelationship which exists among and between water, air, and land and all living things.\n(3)\nExtremely hazardous substance\nThe term \u201cextremely hazardous substance\u201d means a substance on the list described in\nsection 11002(a)(2) of this title\n(4)\nFacility\nThe term \u201cfacility\u201d means all buildings, equipment, structures, and other stationary items which are located on a single site or on contiguous or adjacent sites and which are owned or operated by the same person (or by any person which controls, is controlled by, or under common control with, such person).
