{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s15801","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f15801.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f15801.\nDefinitions\nExcept as otherwise provided, in this Act:\n(1)\nDepartment\nThe term \u201cDepartment\u201d means the Department of Energy.\n(2)\nInstitution of higher education\n(A)\nIn general\nThe term \u201cinstitution of higher education\u201d has the meaning given the term in\nsection 1001(a) of title 20\n(B)\nInclusion\nThe term \u201cinstitution of higher education\u201d includes an organization that\u2014\n(i) is organized, and at all times thereafter operated, exclusively for the benefit of, to perform the functions of, or to carry out the functions of one or more organizations referred to in subparagraph (A);
