{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s16152","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f16152.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f16152.\nDefinitions\nIn this subchapter:\n(1)\nClean hydrogen; hydrogen\nThe terms \u201cclean hydrogen\u201d and \u201chydrogen\u201d mean hydrogen produced in compliance with the greenhouse gas emissions standard established under\nsection 16166(a) of this title\n(2)\nFuel cell\nThe term \u201cfuel cell\u201d means a device that directly converts the chemical energy of a fuel, which is supplied from an external source, and an oxidant into electricity by electrochemical processes occurring at separate electrodes in the device.\n(3)\nHeavy-duty vehicle\nThe term \u201cheavy-duty vehicle\u201d means a motor vehicle that\u2014\n(A) is rated at more than 8,500 pounds gross vehicle weight;\n(B) has a curb weight of more than 6,000 pounds; or\n(C) has a basic vehicle frontal area in excess of 45 square feet.\n(4)\nInfrastructure\nThe term \u201cinfrastructure\u201d means the equipment, systems, or facilities used to produce, distribute, deliver, or store hydrogen (except for onboard storage).\n(5)\nLight-duty vehicle\nThe term \u201clight-duty vehicle\u201d means a motor vehicle that is rated at 8,500 or less pounds gross vehicle weight.\n(6)\nPortable;
