{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s16280","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f16280.","heading":"Advanced Nuclear Energy Licensing Cost-Share Grant Program","text":"\u00a7\u202f16280.\nAdvanced Nuclear Energy Licensing Cost-Share Grant Program\n(a)\nDefinitions\nIn this section:\n(1)\nCommission\nThe term \u201cCommission\u201d means the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.\n(2)\nProgram\nThe term \u201cprogram\u201d means the Advanced Nuclear Energy Cost-Share Grant Program established under subsection (b).\n(3)\nSecretary\nThe term \u201cSecretary\u201d means the Secretary of Energy.\n(b)\nEstablishment\nThe Secretary shall establish a grant program, to be known as the \u201cAdvanced Nuclear Energy Cost-Share Grant Program\u201d, under which the Secretary shall make cost-share grants to applicants for the purpose of funding a portion of the Commission fees of the applicant for pre-application review activities and application review activities.\n(c)\nRequirement\nThe Secretary shall seek out technology diversity in making grants under the program.\n(d)\nCost-share amount\nThe Secretary shall determine the cost-share amount for each grant under the program in accordance with\nsection 16352 of this title\n(e)\nUse of funds\nA recipient of a grant under the program may use the grant funds to cover Commission fees, including those fees associated with\u2014\n(1) developing a licensing project plan;\n(2) obtaining a statement of licensing feasibility;\n(3) reviewing topical reports;
