{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s16511","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f16511.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f16511.\nDefinitions\nIn this subchapter:\n(1)\nCommercial technology\n(A)\nIn general\nThe term \u201ccommercial technology\u201d means a technology in general use in the commercial marketplace.\n(B)\nInclusions\nThe term \u201ccommercial technology\u201d does not include a technology solely by use of the technology in a demonstration project funded by the Department.\n(2)\nCost\nThe term \u201ccost\u201d has the meaning given the term \u201ccost of a loan guarantee\u201d within the meaning of\nsection 661a(5)(C) of title 2\n(3)\nEligible project\nThe term \u201celigible project\u201d means a project described in\nsection 16513 of this title\n(4)\nGuarantee\n(A)\nIn general\nThe term \u201cguarantee\u201d has the meaning given the term \u201cloan guarantee\u201d in\nsection 661a of title 2\n(B)\nInclusion\nThe term \u201cguarantee\u201d includes a loan guarantee commitment (as defined in\nsection 661a of title 2\n(5)\nObligation\nThe term \u201cobligation\u201d means the loan or other debt obligation that is guaranteed under this section.\n(6)\nState\nThe term \u201cState\u201d has the meaning given the term in\nsection 6802 of this title\n(7)\nState energy financing institution\n(A)\nIn general\nThe term \u201cState energy financing institution\u201d means a quasi-independent entity or an entity within a State agency or financing authority established by a State\u2014\n(i) to provide financing support or credit enhancements, including loan guarantees and loan loss reserves, for eligible projects;
