{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s19302","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f19302.","heading":"Clean Energy Technology University Prize competition","text":"\u00a7\u202f19302.\nClean Energy Technology University Prize competition\n(a)\nDefinitions\nIn this section:\n(1)\nEligible entity\nThe term \u201celigible entity\u201d means a nonprofit entity, an institution of higher education, or an entity working with one or more institutions of higher education.\n(2)\nMinority-serving institution\nThe term \u201cminority-serving institution\u201d means an institution described in\nsection 1067q(a) of title 20\n(b)\nIn general\nThe Secretary shall establish a program, known as the \u201cClean Energy Technology University Prize\u201d, to award funding for eligible entities to carry out regional and one national clean energy technology prize competitions, under\nsection 3719 of title 15\n(c)\nTraining funding\nIn carrying out this program, the Secretary may provide funding to train participating students in skills needed for the successful commercial application of clean energy technologies, including through virtual training sessions.\n(d)\nPrioritization\nIn awarding grants under this section, the Secretary shall prioritize awarding grants to eligible entities that work with students at minority-serving institutions.\n(e)\nCoordination\nIn carrying out this program, the Secretary shall coordinate and partner with other clean energy technology prize competitions.
