{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s300ff\u201388","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f300ff\u201388.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f300ff\u201388.\nDefinitions\nFor purposes of this subchapter:\n(1)\nAIDS\nThe term \u201cAIDS\u201d means acquired immune deficiency syndrome.\n(2)\nCo-occurring conditions\nThe term \u201cco-occurring conditions\u201d means one or more adverse health conditions in an individual with HIV/AIDS, without regard to whether the individual has AIDS and without regard to whether the conditions arise from HIV.\n(3)\nCounseling\nThe term \u201ccounseling\u201d means such counseling provided by an individual trained to provide such counseling.\n(4)\nFamily-centered care\nThe term \u201cfamily-centered care\u201d means the system of services described in this subchapter that is targeted specifically to the special needs of infants, children, women and families.
