{"identifier":"/us/usc/t42/s300mm\u20135","title":42,"num":"\u00a7\u202f300mm\u20135.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f300mm\u20135.\nDefinitions\nIn this subchapter:\n(1) The term \u201caggravating\u201d means, with respect to a health condition, a health condition that existed on\nSeptember 11, 2001\nSeptember 11, 2001\n(2) The term \u201ccertified-eligible WTC survivor\u201d has the meaning given such term in\nsection 300mm\u201331(a)(2) of this title\n(3) The terms \u201cClinical Center of Excellence\u201d and \u201cData Center\u201d have the meanings given such terms in\nsection 300mm\u20134 of this title\n(4) The term \u201cenrolled WTC responder\u201d means a WTC responder enrolled under\nsection 300mm\u201321(a)(3) of this title\n(5) The term \u201cFederal agency\u201d means an agency, office, or other establishment in the executive, legislative, or judicial branch of the Federal Government.\n(6) The term \u201cinitial health evaluation\u201d includes, with respect to an individual, a medical and exposure history, a physical examination, and additional medical testing as needed to evaluate whether the individual has a WTC-related health condition and is eligible for treatment under the WTC Program.\n(7) The term \u201clist of WTC-related health conditions\u201d means\u2014\n(A) for WTC responders, the health conditions listed in\nsection 300mm\u201322(a)(3) of this title\n(B) for screening-eligible and certified-eligible WTC survivors, the health conditions listed in\nsection 300mm\u201332(b) of this title\n(8) The term \u201cNew York City disaster area\u201d means the area within New York City that is\u2014\n(A) the area of Manhattan that is south of Houston Street; and\n(B) any block in Brooklyn that is wholly or partially contained within a 1.5-mile radius of the former World Trade Center site.\n(9) The term \u201cNew York metropolitan area\u201d means an area, specified by the WTC Program Administrator, within which WTC responders and eligible WTC screening-eligible survivors who reside in such area are reasonably able to access monitoring and treatment benefits and initial health evaluation benefits under this subchapter through a Clinical Center of Excellence described in subparagraphs (A), (B), or (C) of\nsection 300mm\u20134(b)(1) of this title\n(10) The term \u201cscreening-eligible WTC survivor\u201d has the meaning given such term in\nsection 300mm\u201331(a)(1) of this title\n(11) Any reference to \u201c\nSeptember 11, 2001\n(12) The term \u201c\nSeptember 11, 2001\nSeptember 11, 2001\n(13) The term \u201cuniformed services\u201d has the meaning given the term in\nsection 101(a) of title 10\n(14) The term \u201cWTC Health Program Steering Committee\u201d means such a Steering Committee established under\nsection 300mm\u20131(b) of this title\n(15) The term \u201cWTC Program\u201d means the Word Trade Center Health Program established under\nsection 300mm(a) of this title\n(16)\n(A) The term \u201cWTC Program Administrator\u201d means\u2014\n(i) subject to subparagraph (B), with respect to paragraphs (3) and (4) of\nsection 300mm\u201321(a) of this title\nsection 300mm\u201322(c) of this title\nsection 300mm\u201332 of this title\n1\n1 So in original.
