{"identifier":"/us/usc/t5/s5737a","title":5,"num":"\u00a7\u202f5737a.","heading":"Employees temporarily deployed in contingency operations","text":"\u00a7\u202f5737a.\nEmployees temporarily deployed in contingency operations\n(a)\nDefinitions.\u2014\nFor purposes of this section\u2014\n(1) the term \u201ccovered employee\u201d means an individual who\u2014\n(A) is an employee of an Executive agency or a military department, excluding a Government controlled corporation; and\n(B) is assigned on a temporary change of station in support of a contingency operation;\n(2) the term \u201ctemporary change of station\u201d, as used with respect to an employee, means an assignment\u2014\n(A) from the employee\u2019s official duty station to a temporary duty station; and\n(B) for which such employee is eligible for expenses under section 5737; and\n(3) the term \u201ccontingency operation\u201d has the meaning given such term by\nsection 1482a(c) of title 10\n(b)\nQuarters and Rations.\u2014\nThe head of an agency may provide quarters and rations, without charge, to any covered employee of such agency during the period of such employee\u2019s temporary assignment (as described in subsection (a)(1)(B)).\n(c)\nStorage of Motor Vehicle.\u2014\nThe head of an agency may provide for the storage, without charge, or for the reimbursement of the cost of storage, of a motor vehicle that is owned or leased by a covered employee of such agency (or by a dependent of such an employee) and that is for the personal use of the covered employee.
