{"identifier":"/us/usc/t50/s2001","title":50,"num":"\u00a7\u202f2001.","heading":"Definitions relating to the system","text":"\u00a7\u202f2001.\nDefinitions relating to the system\nWhen used in this chapter:\n(1)\nAgency\nThe term \u201cAgency\u201d means the Central Intelligence Agency.\n(2)\nDirector\nThe term \u201cDirector\u201d means the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.\n(3)\nQualifying service\nThe term \u201cqualifying service\u201d means service determined by the Director to have been performed in carrying out duties described in\nsection 2013 of this title\n(4)\nFund balance\nThe term \u201cfund balance\u201d means the sum of\u2014\n(A) the investments of the fund calculated at par value; and\n(B) the cash balance of the fund on the books of the Treasury.\n(5)\nUnfunded liability\nThe term \u201cunfunded liability\u201d means the estimated amount by which\u2014\n(A) the present value of all benefits payable from the fund exceeds\n(B) the sum of\u2014\n(i) the present value of deductions to be withheld from the future basic pay of participants subject to subchapter II and of future Agency contributions to be made on the behalf of such participants;\n(ii) the present value of Government payments to the fund under sections 2091(c) and 2091(d) of this title;
