{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7/s4531","title":7,"num":"\u00a7\u202f4531.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f4531.\nDefinitions\nFor purposes of this subchapter\u2014\n(1) the term \u201cboard\u201d means the board of trustees of the Institute;\n(2) the term \u201cDepartment\u201d means the Department of Agriculture;\n(3) the term \u201cdairy products\u201d means manufactured products that are derived from the processing of milk, and includes fluid milk products;\n(4) the term \u201cfluid milk products\u201d means those milk products normally consumed in liquid form as a beverage;\n(5) the term \u201cFund\u201d means the Dairy Research Trust Fund established by\nsection 4536 of this title\n(6) the term \u201cInstitute\u201d means the National Dairy Research Endowment Institute established by\nsection 4532 of this title\n(7) the term \u201cmilk\u201d means any class of cow\u2019s milk marketed in the United States;\n(8) the term \u201cperson\u201d means any individual, group of individuals, partnership, corporation, association, cooperative, or any other entity;\n(9) the term \u201cproducer\u201d means any person engaged in the production of milk for commercial use;\n(10) the term \u201cresearch\u201d means studies testing the effectiveness of market development and promotion efforts, studies relating to the nutritional value of milk and dairy products, and other related efforts to expand demand for milk and dairy products;\n(11) the term \u201cSecretary\u201d means the Secretary of Agriculture unless the context specifies otherwise;
