{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7/s8302","title":7,"num":"\u00a7\u202f8302.","heading":"Definitions","text":"\u00a7\u202f8302.\nDefinitions\nIn this chapter:\n(1)\nAnimal\nThe term \u201canimal\u201d means any member of the animal kingdom (except a human).\n(2)\nArticle\nThe term \u201carticle\u201d means any pest or disease or any material or tangible object that could harbor a pest or disease.\n(3)\nDisease\nThe term \u201cdisease\u201d has the meaning given the term by the Secretary.\n(4)\nEnter\nThe term \u201center\u201d means to move into the commerce of the United States.\n(5)\nExport\nThe term \u201cexport\u201d means to move from a place within the territorial limits of the United States to a place outside the territorial limits of the United States.\n(6)\nFacility\nThe term \u201cfacility\u201d means any structure.\n(7)\nImport\nThe term \u201cimport\u201d means to move from a place outside the territorial limits of the United States to a place within the territorial limits of the United States.\n(8)\nIndian tribe\nThe term \u201cIndian tribe\u201d has the meaning given the term in\nsection 5304 of title 25\n(9)\nInterstate commerce\nThe term \u201cinterstate commerce\u201d means trade, traffic, or other commerce\u2014\n(A) between a place in a State and a place in another State, or between places within the same State but through any place outside that State; or\n(B) within the District of Columbia or any territory or possession of the United States.\n(10)\nLivestock\nThe term \u201clivestock\u201d means all farm-raised animals.\n(11)\nMeans of conveyance\nThe term \u201cmeans of conveyance\u201d means any personal property used for or intended for use for the movement of any other personal property.\n(12)\nMove\nThe term \u201cmove\u201d means\u2014\n(A) to carry, enter, import, mail, ship, or transport;\n(B) to aid, abet, cause, or induce carrying, entering, importing, mailing, shipping, or transporting;\n(C) to offer to carry, enter, import, mail, ship, or transport;\n(D) to receive in order to carry, enter, import, mail, ship, or transport;\n(E) to release into the environment;
