{"identifier":"/us/usc/t7/s950bb\u20132","title":7,"num":"\u00a7\u202f950bb\u20132.","heading":"Innovative Broadband Advancement Program","text":"\u00a7\u202f950bb\u20132.\nInnovative Broadband Advancement Program\n(a)\nIn general\nThe Secretary shall establish a program to be known as the \u201cInnovative Broadband Advancement Program\u201d, under which the Secretary may provide a grant, a loan, or both to an eligible entity for the purpose of demonstrating innovative broadband technologies or methods of broadband deployment that significantly decrease the cost of broadband deployment, and provide substantially faster broadband speeds than are available, in a rural area.\n(b)\nRural area\nIn this section, the term \u201crural area\u201d has the meaning provided in\nsection 950bb(b)(3) of this title\n(c)\nEligibility\nTo be eligible to obtain assistance under this section for a project, an entity shall\u2014\n(1) submit to the Secretary an application\u2014\n(A) that describes a project designed to decrease the cost of broadband deployment, and substantially increase broadband speed to not less than the maximum\n1\n1 So in original.
