Public domain text

The underlying legal texts published here are works of the US federal government and are not subject to copyright protection (17 U.S.C. § 105). The Supreme Court confirmed in Georgia v. Public.Resource.Org (2020) that official legal texts cannot be copyrighted.

Permitted uses

The law is yours. You are free to read, copy, redistribute, republish, and use the legal texts on this site for any purpose, including training machine-learning models, without seeking our permission. We claim no ownership over the public-domain text.
